There is something incredibly electric about a high-fashion set, especially when it involves homegrown Liverpool design talent. I recently had the absolute pleasure of heading to Vessel Studios to provide the hair and makeup artistry for the Philip Armstrong SS 2026 Lookbook.
As a long-time admirer of Philip and Tony’s work, collaborating with such an iconic local label was a total joy. Their Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a masterclass in luxury; think vibrant colours, playful silhouettes, and fabrics that move like a dream.

The Vision: Modern Winged Eyes and Glowing Skin
When working on a commercial lookbook, the goal is always to complement the garments without distracting from them. For this collection, we wanted the beauty look to feel fresh, modern, and high-fashion.
- The Makeup: I created a sharp, modern winged eye to add a touch of drama, balanced perfectly with a pink stained lip and cheek. This gave models Gabriella and Erica a youthful, radiant glow that popped against the colorful textiles.
- The Hair: We opted for sleek, polished hair to maintain a clean aesthetic, especially important when working with the architectural masterpieces provided by Tracy Miller Designs. Her hats were a dream to work with!
Collaboration at Vessel Studios
The shoot featured the stunning Gabriella and Erica from Boss Model Management, who were absolute pros at bringing the “Philip Armstrong Woman” to life. Working alongside a dedicated creative team at Vessel Studios reminded me why I love the fast-paced nature of commercial work. From adjusting a stray hair between frames to ensuring the winged liner looked symmetrical under the studio lights, every detail matters when the final images are going to represent a luxury brand.
