Happy New Year! How did you ring in 2019? After and amazing day of glamming up some incredibly gorgeous women, I spent the evening with my lovely little family and some great friends drinking bubbly and nibbling fantastic food. I hope you had an equally fabulous time!
What are your thoughts regarding New Year’s Resolutions? Everyone seems to have different opinions on the matter. Personally, I like them. I am a goal setter and I love the feeling of accomplishment and achievement. But I totally understand not wanting to set specific ‘resolutions’ too, especially things that are completely unrealistic. Especially the whole ‘New Year, New Me’ philosophy. I don’t believe anyone should try to be a completely different person, they should aim to be the best version of themselves!
My resolutions over the years have varied so much,but they are always a form of personal development. This year, I have decided to create a theme for Glamorama! We will be focusing on a little mantra I have created, ‘Be Your Best Beautiful’. Now, this isn’t all about physical beauty and how you look, it is about inner beauty and the beauty that you reflect to the world. It is about feeling your best, doing your best, and also looking good too of course, we are makeup artists after all! It is a holistic approach to beauty.
My personal resolution for this year is to look after my health. I have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes for nearly 2 years, and have had to go on medication last May. I want to focus on getting my body well, and having a healthy life looking after my diet and exercise. I have been vaguely following low carb diet, which seems to work for me, so I am going to commit to cutting the carbs and to exercise regularly. This will improve my overall health and well being, and make me feel beautiful inside and out!
