A Venue That Speaks for Itself

Hannah and Adam are nature lovers, so when they saw Sefton Park Palm House, they knew it was the one. Its iconic Victorian architecture and abundant greenery offered a breathtaking backdrop without needing extra decoration. Vegan Values and Planning Ahead

As a proud vegan, Hannah wanted her wedding to align with her values, and choosing me as her hair and makeup artist was the perfect fit. All the products I use are vegan and cruelty-free, ensuring her look was as ethical as it was stunning.

Hannah reached out to me a full 12 months in advance to secure her date, knowing how quickly key suppliers book up. If you’re planning your dream wedding, take a leaf out of Hannah’s book and get in touch early—I’d hate for you to miss out on your preferred date!

Getting Wedding-Ready at Home

Hannah chose to get ready at home, surrounded by her bridesmaids in a calm and happy environment. When creating her bridal look, I focused on keeping things romantic and soft, while also preparing her hair and makeup for the unique challenges of the Palm House’s warm, humid climate.

I have done so many Sefton Park Palm House weddings in my 13 years of business, so I am well aware of the unique challenges its climate can bring for hair and makeup. For  Hannah’s makeup, I used lightweight, long-wearing products that resisted humidity while keeping her skin fresh and glowing. On her hair, I worked with heat-resistant styling techniques and finishing sprays designed to hold up in the environment, ensuring her style stayed picture-perfect all day and night. She looked like an absolute DOLL!!!!! Gorgeous, fresh, and modern.

Ceremony Highlights: Love and Laughter

The ceremony was an emotional highlight for the couple, with natural light streaming through the glass walls and the greenery of Sefton Park Palm House providing a serene backdrop. A humorous moment that had everyone laughing was when a baby decided to shout just as the registrar asked for objections—it broke the tension and added a touch of playful spontaneity to the formalities.

A Day Filled With Thoughtful Details

Hannah and Adam infused their wedding with their unique style, from DIY centerpieces inspired by their favorite video games to bags of sweets for the bridesmaids—a sweet inside joke about Hannah needing sugar to stay awake during events!

Music played a big part in their day, too. They wowed guests with their first dance, which Hannah described as unexpectedly emotional, followed by a playful nod to their fun-loving personalities with Busted’s “Crash the Wedding” kicking off the party. Guests couldn’t stop talking about the combination of heartfelt and lighthearted moments that made the day unforgettable.

The Sefton Park Palm House Advantage (and How to Prepare for It)

Sefton Park Palm House’s beauty is unmatched, but its unique climate means your hair and makeup need extra care. For weddings here, I use specialized techniques to make sure your look lasts from the first photo to the last dance. For Hannah and her bridesmaids, that meant skin prep with lightweight hydrating products and humidity-proof makeup, along with the appropriate hair prep and hairstyling techniques to handle the venue’s warmth.

Hannah shared how she felt about her experience:
“Your website and Instagram gave me such a good vibe, and during my trial, I felt so comfortable. I’m shy, so I worried about chatting with someone for so long, but you made it so easy. On the day, you were everything I hoped for, and my bridesmaids and I got so many compliments!”

A Relaxed Celebration with Plenty of Joy

Hannah and Adam wanted their wedding to feel laid-back yet engaging, avoiding those moments where guests are left standing around unsure of what to do. With their intimate setup and carefully planned day, they achieved the perfect balance.

Hannah said, “The day was everything we imagined and more. I just felt so calm and happy—if I could bottle that feeling, I would!”

Advice for Couples Planning a Sefton Park Palm House Wedding

Hannah and Adam’s key to stress-free planning was dividing responsibilities: “Figure out early on what’s important to you both, and split the work so you can focus on what you care about most.”
