booking process
Once you’ve completed the enquiry form and scheduled a chat with me, here is what you can expect:
- An informal no obligation discovery call with me to answer any questions you may have around your wedding prep
- OR you can now book an inperson consultation with me in the salon!
- You then receive your quote and contract to look over
- Once you’ve paid your 20% non-refundable retainer and signed the contract, your booking is confirmed
- You will receive a Welcome email containing info on booking your trial, a special discount code for booking pre-wedding beauty treatments with me, and more!
- You can always email me to discuss any questions that might come up along the way, and I am happy to schedule a call with you if needed
the trial
- I prefer to think of your trial as a preview, because at the end of it, you will know how your hair and makeup will look on the day
- Trials take place at Kathryn Kavanagh Salon where you can relax and enjoy the experience
- We go over your booking details and confirm the location, start time, finish time, and number of people having services
- You show me any ideas you have for your hair and makeup, but if you don’t have any that is fine too, I am happy to help guide you to find your perfect personal style
- We go over everything, including skincare and hair care and I may make recommendations for anything that you need to do before the wedding
- I create the most beautiful look for you, making your best features shine, and making it very personalised
- You will confirm that you are happy with everything before the end of our session, and we take photos for reference
- We create a schedule of services for on the morning so that everyone is organised and on time
- Hair and makeup trials are up to 3 hours, makeup trials are up to 90 minutes, but we may not need all of this time
- I give you a starter pack of Glamorama Vegan Skincare essentials to get your skin in the best shape for your wedding day
- You are welcome to book trials for other wedding party members at an additional cost
- You may bring 1 other person with you to your trial if you would like
on the day
- We arrive at your chosen location and set up our workspace and lights
- We allocate 45 minutes per person for makeup, and 90 minutes per person for hair and makeup, plus a little contingency time at the end
- You will have relaxing skin prep using Glamorama Vegan Skincare before your makeup
- Everyone may have strip lashes or individual lashes if they would like
- You receive a touch up kit for the day, and the wedding party each receive a lipstick sample
- We do any necessary touch ups at the end to make sure you all look amazing before we leave
- We have so much fun and also keep everyone on time and chill
