Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are an incredibly popular beauty treatment in Liverpool and all over the world. I have been a lash artist in Liverpool for over 9 years now, and there have been many changes and improvements in the lash products and application. I am now so happy to be offering not only classic semi-permanent eyelash extensions, but also hybrid semi-permanent eyelash extensions and volume semi-permanent eyelash extensions.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume semi-permanent eyelash extensions?
The 3 different types of lash extensions use the same technique of isolating each of your individual eyelashes on your eye and carefully glueing an extension to it using a strong glue. The extension will remain on your lash until it falls out naturally, which can be days or weeks depending on your lash cycle. The length and volume of extension used is dependent on the length and health of your natural lashes.
I am careful to not cause damage to your natural lashes, keeping them happy and healthy even with prolonged wear. Infills are recommended every 2 weeks to keep your lashes looking their very best. The main difference in these techniques is the volume of lashes used which creates looks ranging from natural to mega full on volume lashes.
Classic semi-permanent eyelash extensions
Classic lash extensions are applied 1:1 to each of your own lashes, which gives a natural looking enhancement. It will look like you are wearing amazing mascara! Classic lash extensions will give you length, but not as much volume. They will make your eyes look maore open and defined. The application time is around 90 minutes. These are perfect if you’d like a very natural look with your lashes.
Volume semi-permanent eyelash extensions
Volume lash extensions, sometimes called Russian lashes or Russian volume lashes, are finer eyelash extensions that are applied in fans from 2:1 to 8:1 on your own lash. The look achieved will range from natural to very dramatic and full. They add length, but also lots of fluffy volume. The full volume semi-permanent eyelash extensions are for you if you want to look like you are wearing lashes! You can go mega-volume, meaning that I use larger fans with even more lashes, which makes for extremely full drama. Volume lashes are my preferred extensions for people with very short/thin/sparse lashes as this bulks them up without weighing down fragile, tiny lashes. Application can take 2-2.5 hours for Full Volume lashes.
Hybrid semi-permanent eyelash extensions
Hybrid lashes are a mixture of classic and volume. By using both styles of extensions, I create a textured look that really flatters and frames your eyes. This has the advantage of creating a voluminous lash look, while still looking more natural. If you want full yet fluttery lashes, this is the technique I would recommend for you! Hybrid lash application takes around 2 hours.
All lash extensions require care. Here are my top tips!
- avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours
- avoid saunas, steam rooms, and sunbeds for first 24 hours
- If you swim, wear goggles
- do not pick, pull or rub your eyelashes
- try not to sleep face down
- use only water based makeup removers
- avoid oily skincare products around lashes
- never perm, lift, or tint your lash extensions
- do not use lash curlers as they will break the glue bonds
- only use mascara designed for lash extensions if needed
- brush lashes with wand provided each morning
- clean lashes daily with lash shampoo and brush available from me for £5
- get infills every 2 weeks to maintain luscious lashes!
