Last year I had the privilege of doing wedding hair and makeup for the beautiful Ella, who was celebrating her wedding day at two of my favourite wedding venues, Liverpool Town Hall and Oh Me Oh My. Ella found me through The Liverpool Wedding Blog, which I run with two other wedding suppliers (Lucy Hannah Photography and Bridal Reloved Liverpool). As soon as I met her to do her trial, I knew that she was my kind of bride!
Ella and her now husband Adam were having a wilderness themed wedding. They love camping, hiking, and nature, just like me and my family! They even created their own centerpieces by growing their own house plants in glass jars to decorate their tables at Oh Me Oh My.
I received an email from Ella months before her wedding letting me know that there was a “major cultural event” happening in Liverpool City Centre on the day of her wedding. It turned out to be The Giants! Ella had to coordinate her day accordingly to avoid the massive crowds. She ended up booking an Air BnB across the road from Liverpool Town Hall so that she could just cross the street to her venue.
Ella wanted soft but glamorous makeup for her big day, and she wanted very full hair in a loose curled chignon at the back. She accessorised with emerald coloured jewelled hair pins and earrings to compliment the green them and her emerald green bridesmaids dresses.
Team Glamorama Hair Stylist Sara was on hand to glam up the bridesmaids hair. It was a very warm day for early October, and we had a lovely time getting the gang ready and listening to the bustle and excitement outside for the giants. Ella had a killer 90s RnB playlist going on, and we had such a fun and relaxed morning!
My friend Lucy Hannah Photography shot this wedding, and got some really cool pics from the Town Hall balcony, as well as some gorgeous shots from the rooftop of Oh Me Oh My with the Liver Building in the background.
The wedding flowers were done by the fantastic Booker Flowers and Gifts. They were lush hand tied bouquets with a loose, wild style in rich autumnal colours. Really beautiful, and they were perfect for Ella’s theme.
Ella’s beautiful wedding dress came from Liverpool Bridal Boutique on Rose Lane. It was gorgeous lacy form fitting gown that fit her perfectly.
Judging by the photos, Ella and Adam had a great night! What a beautiful wedding. We have a few 2019 dates left now, we are 85% booked for the year but get in touch to see if your date is still available!
